Paul Torrens

Urban Modeling

Important contributor in the area of urban cellular automata


Paul Torrens is one of a number of highly cited researchers working in the area of cellular automata. He has worked with Mike Batty and Itzhak Benenson, laying out seminal directions in the field. Of his many contributions, two are highlighted here - a paper developed as part of his work with CASA on "How Cellular Models of Urban Systems work" see:
